Tours Qoyllority 3 days / 2 nights
Qoyllur riti is a Quechua word meaning bright snow. People in these places are devoted to taytacha Qoylloriti (The Lord of the bright snow). This was an old religious custom practiced only what the inhabitants of the Andes. Every year in two important dates, a few days before celebrating the Corpus Christi and the September 14 celebration of the Andean towns, each called small towns or nations sent a delegation with colorful dancers and “pabluchas” the sanctuary of the Lord of ” ritty qollor “this place is located at the foot of the mountain of Sinakara in the village of Mawayany to 4600msnm.
The pabluchas or Okuku bear the representation of and men suffered a tremendous transformation of the indigenous man who is the lord of Qoyllority. A climb up to the chapels is done at 4am by the sinakara. During the party the people participating in the procession of Our Lady of Fatima will have good luck in business, life and future. The end of the procession takes place in the ancient Inca capital of Cusco with the processions of Corpus Christi, streets and squares are full of people, music and colors.
Itinerary
The first day:
We leave the city of Cusco 9:00 pm, our journey takes about 4hrs. We arrive there and rest for half an hour, then leave for the lord of this Qoyllority located 292 km from the city of Cusco. We begin our crib to moonlight over 2000 pilgrims vote of the lord of Qoyllority. During walk we observe eight crossings to reach the right place for our break where you will appreciate that in each cross the troupes or dancers grab a ritual called the lord praised to Qoyllority so that he may bless you in all your pilgrimage. Arrive about 7am where we set up camp on that day enjoy all the customs of the people who come to the Sanctuary of Mr. de Qoyllority.
The second day:
After enjoying our delicious breakfast, we will go to church to attend the mass that lasts about 30 minutes. After Mass Sinacara depart for the mountain, along the way we will be able to appreciate different types of dances and customs that will be at a height of 4800 meters. From noon we upset our lunches, to then continue our trek that lasted about 4 hrs. After our walk we will arrive at a fair where we will participate in the customs of the people arriving in different places. The third day:
We got up at 7.00am to delight a rich breakfast and then descend to our trek to the village of Mawayany in approximately 2 hrs where we will briefly visit this place for lunch after returns the imperial city of Cusco at 5pm.
